WWZ Circulago
To increase the share of renewable energy in the communities of Zug and Baar, the owners of Wasserwerke Zug (WWZ) have decided to use Lake Zug water to feed the “Circulago” heating/cooling network in the future.
Protecting the heat exchangers with a total capacity of approximately 3,000 m3/h from fouling by sand and biological material from the lake is vital to ensure the optimum temperature transfer and smooth operation of the plant.
So, due to the incomparably large filter areas and the fully automatic cartridge cleaning, it was decided to install 4 RF3-42 DN 300 filters between the seawater pumps and heat exchangers.
4 x RF3-42 DN 300
4 x 728 m³/h
12 MW
