As a result of the total renovation of the Zurich Congress Center and the expansion of the Energieverbund Escherwiese, the complete heating/cooling center of the EWZ also had to be renewed or enlarged. The filters for the treatment of the lakewater and especially for the protection of the heat exchangers were designed for a volume flow of 2400 m³/h. The required redundancy was achieved with two fully automated RF3-42 DN 400 backwashing filters.
