In connection with the CO2 reduction goals, Städtische Werke Genf and SIG Services Industriels de Genève decided to implement an ambitious project: supply the entire city center and the airport with district heating from the lake.

Technical Solution

8 RF7-42 DN 800 automatic filters are used to protect the heat exchangers, heat pumps, and piping network. Particularly appreciated in this filtration system are the large filter area and the long intervals between cleaning. In addition, the conical filter cartridges increase operational safety even further. Due to limited space, they are located on the second underground floor, which is why they’ve got a unique design.
