For the system’s smooth operation, periodic cleaning and maintenance are necessary. Yannick Muhmenthaler explains: “Our cleaning cycle has always given only the best results. We clean the basin (reservoir) twice a year, in spring and autumn. During the first cleaning cycles, the Office of Hunting and Fishing (Amt für Jagd und Fischerei) representatives were here to check for foreign crayfish in the basin. We have never cleaned the converters until now. The cleaning is planned for next year. The special river water filtration system is doing its job perfectly.”
